This page explains how to delete your Akashic Compass account and the data connected to it. You can delete it yourself in the app in a few seconds, or ask us to delete it for you. You do not need the app installed to ask.
1. Delete It Yourself in the App (Instant)
- Open Akashic Compass and sign in.
- Go to your Profile page.
- Tap Delete Account.
- If you would like a copy of your writing first, choose Export My Data First. You can come back and delete afterwards.
- Confirm. Your account and everything in it are deleted immediately.
2. Ask Us to Delete It (No App Needed)
Use our contact form. Write "Delete my account" in your message, and include the email address on your account.
We will confirm the request comes from the account owner, delete the account within 30 days, and reply to let you know it is done.
Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Google Play, and you will keep being charged until you cancel there. Cancel first in the Play Store app under your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
3. What Gets Deleted
- Your account: your sign-in, email address, and name.
- Your profile: your profile photo, and any gender, location, default traditions, and settings you saved.
- Everything you have written or saved: journal entries in every realm and Dimension, DreamCode entries, Sleep Log entries, saved readings, Sacred Lens readings, and Astral Sketch and other images created for you.
- Your subscription and credit records in our system.
4. What Is Kept, and for How Long
- Backups: your data is removed from our active systems straight away and purged from backups within 30 days.
- Purchase records: Google Play keeps its own record of your purchases. We may keep records of purchases and payments for as long as tax, accounting, and other laws require.
- AI providers: text recently sent to OpenAI to write a reading, or to fal.ai for a Journey Timelapse, may be held by that provider for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring and is then deleted.
- Usage statistics and crash reports: these contain no name, email address, or writing, and expire automatically on Google Firebase's retention schedule.
5. Delete Some Data but Keep Your Account
- Delete individual journal entries at any time from the Journal page.
- Turn off Health-related reflections on your Profile page to stop the health-related realms collecting that information.
- Or use our contact form and tell us what you would like removed.
